Preserving Yorùbá Language and Culture for Future Generations
The Yorùbá people are one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa, known for their rich language, vibrant traditions, and deep-rooted values. The Yorùbá language is tonal and features unique diacritics, making it both beautiful and complex.
This project aims to build a comprehensive Yorùbá dictionary to support language preservation, education, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) research. We invite volunteers to contribute words, variants, and cultural insights to enrich this resource.
